About the association

The Promo-LEX Association is a nationwide, non-governmental, apolitical and non-profit organization from the Republic of Moldova.

The association was established in 2002 and was registered at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova on July 19, 2002, with registration number 2278.

The Promo-LEX Association was awarded four UN Awards, the Civil Society Award of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum and the European Award for Civil Society for promoting and defending human rights in the Republic of Moldova, including in the Transnistrian region and for promoting change.

The Promo-LEX Association is a member with consultative status of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the UN.

The development of democracy and the protection of human rights in the Republic of Moldova, including in the Transnistrian region.

Structure and activity of the association

The activity of the Promo-LEX Association is ensured at a functional level through two programs: the Human Rights Program and the Institutions and Democratic Processes Program.

Human Rights Program

Goal

To contribute to the promotion and implementation in the Republic of Moldova of international standards in the field of human rights.

Democratic Processes Program

Goal

To contribute to improving the quality and increasing the confidence of citizens in the democratic institutions and processes of the Republic of Moldova.
